Trip to Tulsa

This past week, I made my first trip to Oklahoma. For this trip, American Airlines provided all of my flights.

My first flight was provided by CRJ-200 N262PS for a quick trip to Charlotte. I was supposed to have a quick connection here and was afraid I would miss it since the first flight was delayed 30 minutes, but my second flight had already been delayed. Here is N262PS after we landed in Charlotte. We did not have a jet bridge, so I was able to grab a great shot of it from the ground.

The second flight to Tulsa, Oklahoma ended up being delayed three hours. First because the inbound crew was late and then the plane had technical issues. I didn’t get any shots of that plane, but it was a 737-800 N859NN.

I stayed at the DoubleTree in downtown Tulsa and was pretty far up in the building. In the background is an Oklahoma State hospital and a small mountain.

My stay in Tulsa was only for two nights and I was quickly off to home again. Here is MD-83 N969TW at TUL which would take us to DFW.

I had a quick connection and actually flew back on N9616G which brought me to DFW a week back. It was dark, so none of the shots I took looked any good. I had a picture of that plane already so that was fine. Here is a picture I took of DFW at night.

This flight was pretty empty, so I ended up getting an exit row seat all to myself.

Overall, the trip to Tulsa was short and sweet. I enjoyed Tulsa and it was a nice city. It would have been nice to have a bit more time to explore, but maybe I will get back there someday.
