Almost Time

The day of the wedding was quickly upon us and there were a lot of emotions going on. It would be a relief on the one hand just due to all the planning that had gone into this and to finally see that come to fruition would be great. On the other side, it was a bit stressful because we would both be the center of attention. Me, less so, just because everything is focused on the bride mostly. Amanda was off to have brunch with the women, so it was just me solo for a few hours to think about it all.

That afternoon, I met up with the groomsmen, my friend Greg, Amanda’s dad and uncle and we got to try out Top Golf. Top Golf is a pretty awesome place even if you aren’t a huge golfer which I am definitely not. They have tons of food and drinks. It is a multi-tiered golf range with various targets used in a variety of games you can play.

After Top Golf, I still had a few more hours to go before the wedding. I went back to my room and took a quick nap and just watched whatever was on TV. I’d look out my room and Las Vegas was happening all around me. Still lots of emotions going on and it just seemed like a long time away and also a short time away simultaneously. I wanted to see what Amanda was up to so badly, but I am sure she was busy getting ready and I didn’t want to bother her.

Soon enough it was time to get ready. Time to put on that suit and get into the mindset to be ready to be a husband and have a beautiful wife. My family came up to our room before hand and we took some pictures and talked. And then it was time to take the trip downstairs and walk across the elegant pools to find the Juno Garden. They were setting up for an after party for one of the conferences going on at the hotel, so there were no other guests around the pools, it was quite surreal.

I went up the walkway that we had been to last night for the rehearsal and there were a few people already there waiting. It all felt so real. It was time!
