Busy month of flying

June was my busiest month of flying to date. I had 15 flights during the month – traveling almost every week. July is shaping up to be just slightly more busy. Instead of putting out all of the pictures from the month, I will just share a few of the highlights during my travels.

During a layover at PHL I saw quite a few American Airlines A330s.

On a return flight for this trip, on approach to DCA we were treated to a nice view of the Pentagon.

Surprisingly during all of the flights I was only on the MD-83 once. This is American Airlines MD-83 N972TW at CMH. Based on the tail number, I believe that this is a former TWA plane.

Headed back home, I saw this American Airlines 787-9 N830AN at DFW. The Dreamliner remains elusive, but hopefully that will be checked off in July.

I try to avoid ORD with all the summer storms, but there are some cool things to do when the weather cooperates. Here is Fermi Lab on approach.

And also tons of freight planes!

On one trip into DFW I got to see a Qantas A380 getting ready to head off to Australia.

And the last picture is my first A321. This is American Airlines A321 N167AN at DFW.

New airports I visited this month were RIC and MSP. The most frequently visited airport other than CMH was DFW. DFW is the nicest of the top five airports in my opinion, so it wasn’t a bad thing to be there so often.

Until next time! Happy flying!
