Happy First Anniversary

It was Friday and the last day our of stay at The Venetian. But more importantly it was our first anniversary! We did not have super set plans yet and we had to check out soon, so why not visit the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop!

The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop was well worth the taxi fare to visit. It was cool to see a place where the television show is shot. I wish I had bought some silver coins while I was there. Maybe next time!

Instead of a taxi, we took an Uber back to The Venetian. It was much cheaper and well worth it. You get much better service in an Uber than you do a taxi. This was the last picture I took from The Venetian. The view from our room was magnificent.

When we got back to the room we quickly got all packed up and headed over to Caesars where we were able to do the early check in. It did cost more, but it was well worth the price because we had a room and were able to make better use of our day.

After we got to our room, we headed down to the Cafe Americano. This was the same place that we hosted everyone for breakfast the day after our wedding. Another place in Las Vegas that will be one that I will always remember. I had the chicken and waffles the same meal that I had nearly a year before. It was delicious just like last time.

Also at breakfast, we decided that maybe Hell’s Kitchen wasn’t the best place for our anniversary dinner. The menu didn’t really fit who we were so we cancelled our reservation. We had to decide on another place for our special dinner instead.

After lunch/breakfast we went back to our room to get ready for some swimming. I don’t think we waited the customary thirty minutes before swimming. The Caesars Palace pool was much nicer than that of The Venetian. It was also a good idea that we checked in early because we would have not been able to enter the pool without a keycard.

My only regret from this part of the day was that we did not sneak over to Juno Garden to see how it was. This was where we got married. It would have been nice to see again.
