After the trip to Red Rock Canyon, we came back and ate some breakfast/lunch at the Grand Lux Café at The Palazzo. Then we decided to hit up the pool at The Venetian. It was a nice pool, very stylish, but also small. There were a couple of side pools but overall it was a bit underwhelming.
After we did the pool thing for a bit, we went back to our room to relax before heading out for the night. Since it was Draft Night and also the Blue Jackets first game against Boston in the 2nd round of the NHL playoffs we wanted to hit up a sports book to watch it on the big screen. I thought the West Gate Sports Book would be awesome to see since it is the biggest in the world, but it was a bit out of the way. And since it was nearing the time of the draft we decided to park ourselves at the Caesars Sports Book that night which was not too far away.
As we were headed out the sun was beating down on us. We took a detour through the Forum Shops at Caesars and we saw Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab the place that we had our post wedding dinner. I wish we had taken a picture of it. The Forum Shops at Caesars are beautiful to walk through. But we finally got to the Caesars Sports Book. Here is a quick picture I took of the big screen while we watched the draft and also the NHL game. Unfortunately the Blue Jackets lost in overtime and the Browns didn’t have any picks in the first round but it was still an enjoyable time.
After a bit of time, we decided to head out and see what else we could see. We didn’t have dinner plans yet but we headed to the Paris Casino and went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Apparently this Eiffel Tower is a half height replica, but it was still impressive and scary too. I eventually want to get to the real Eiffel Tower and was amazed that it is double the height especially since ti was built so long ago. It was an amazing way to see the Las Vegas Strip from above it all. It was also amazing to see the sunset.
We did a bit of gambling at Paris, but overall did not win again. This was the overall trend of our trip. We went to dinner at Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar.
After this it had been another long and amazing day in Las Vegas so we headed back to the hotel at The Venetian. It was going to be our last night at that hotel so we tried to come up with a plan for the next day as we went over to Caesars Palace for our last night. We had more days in Las Vegas than usual but when you jam pack your schedule everything moves so fast.
